Yellow Bird is a simple, diatonic melody with a lilting Caribbean feel. It was a 1961 hit for the Arthur Lyman Group and memorably, played by steel guitarist Kayton Roberts who added bird call imitations played high up the neck of his Fender electric steel. My arrangement is a basic melody arrangement that calls out for additional improvisation.
