Mr. Sandman is a popular song from 1954 written by Pat Ballard. It was first recorded by Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra and later that year by the vocal groups,the Chordettes and the Four Aces. My arrangement for lap steel was directly influenced by Chet Atkins’ well-known version for fingerstyle standard guitar recorded in 1954.
