Misty” is a jazz and pop standard written in 1954 by pianist Erroll Garner. “Misty” has been recorded by hundreds of pop and jazz  artists over the years. Richard “Groove” Holmes was an American jazz organist best known for his recordings in the hard bop and soul jazz genres. His swinging, uptempo 1965 arrangement of “Misty” is considered a classic and has been covered by players like Larry Carlton, Little Charlie Batty and more. It lays out very well in this tuning with the only tricky aspect being to pay attention to the many 8th note rests, blocking notes to achieve the short, staccato phrasing that makes the arrangement swing.
