Happy Together was written by Garry Bonner and Alan Gordon and recorded by the American pop band the Turtles in 1967. This iconic tune was the band’s first and only chart-topper. The song uses a classic Flamenco chord progression sometimes called “The Andalusian Cadence.” It lays out quite nicely on electric lap steel in C6th tuning in the key of E.
