Djangology was written by Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt and first recorded in 1935. The tune has an ahead-of-its-time, decesnding chromatic structure that was very hip for the mid 30s.  It adapts well to the steel guitar.

Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt tune “Minor Swing” was first recorded by The Quintet of the Hot Club of France in 1937. It The song is mostly structured around a repeated sequence of arpeggios and chord changes over which the player improvises until by mutual agreement, the end is decided and the playout performed. It remains a popular jam tune today.
