DANNY BOY is a ballad with lyrics written by English songwriter Frederic Weatherly in 1913, and set to the traditional Irish melody “Londonderry Air”. Ernestine Schumann-Heink created the first recording of “Danny Boy” in 1915. It has since become a beloved standard, performed by vocalists of musicians across all genres.

My arrangements are in two tunings: DADGAD and Dmaj7 - both simple one-string tweaks from the standard Open D tuning.

(Low to High):

D Sus (DADGAD) Tuning: D A D G A D

Dmaj7 Tuning: D A D F# A C#
