Bali Hai was composed for the legendary 1949 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific. The name refers to a mystical island, visible on the horizon but not quite reachable.

The B11th tuning combines two different tonalities: A major and B dominant - in two different keys: A and B. In the open strings, we have a major 6th in the key of A on top, and in the middle aners beginning in the 1930s. The top four open strings are identical to the A6th tuning.

Note: Midi audio usually sounds closer to a keyboard than a steel guitar but it is useful for demonstrating the rhythms, feel and overall intent of an arrangement or musical passage. Make this music come alive on your steel guitar!
