$2.50

ARRANGED FOR LAP STEEL IN TABLATURE + STANDARD NOTATION (audio sample below)

Nalani was written by Alvin Isaacs, Sr., a composer, singer, musician, band leader and recording artist who composed more than 300 songs, many of which have become standards in Hawaiian music. His son, Alvin (Barney) Isaacs, Jr. was one of Hawaii’s greatest steel guitarists.

Originally recorded as a slow ballad, this uptempo arrangement in C6th tuning was highly influenced by an arrangement of the tune by contemporary Hawaiian steel master Alan Akaka.

Note: Midi audio usually sounds closer to a keyboard than a steel guitar but it is useful for demonstrating the rhythms, feel and overall intent of an arrangement or musical passage. Make this music come alive on your steel guitar!
