My Cherie Amour  is a classic example of 1960s Motown soul by singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder. The song has entered standards status, with many covers recorded by other artists. My arrangement is written in Fmaj7 tuning, an easy variation of C6th tuning that works with the same string gauges. When tuning to Fmaj7, some players leave the 5th and 6th strings as E and C - just like C6th tuning - but I felt the low F enhanced the harmonies of the song.
