Sweet Soulful Steel features 10 melodic soul, blues and pop songs from the 1960s and 70s arranged for lap steel by Andy Volk. What they all have in common is great melodies and sweet chord progressions. Various tunings are uses but , with two minor exceptions, they are all obtainable with a few tuning peg tweaks using a standard C6th set of strings. “Walk on By” is arranged for 8-string but can easily be played on just 6 strings. The low E in Open E tuning may be a bit too loose using standard C6th gauges.
